I have noticed latley that all the things I love are a bit ...worn to put it lightly. This shirt belonged to Brandon when he was about 12. He gave it to me... actually I more or less stole it, when we were dating and have been wearing it ever since. When I first took it I wore it out in public. Now, as you can tell, it's not really appropriate to wear in public. In part to the large gaping hole in the boob area.

I became interested in this book after all the hype I had heard about it. Everyone kept saying what a powerful story it was.

Christmas in DC
First and foremost... SORRY! It has been over a month since my last post. Forgive me! December is a busy month for everyone!
So I didn't get to go home for Christmas, but we did get to go to Washington, D.C to visit my brother-in-law Anthony for Christmas. Earlier in the week they got a lot of snow (well alot according to my standards) and it was really pretty. It's an eight hour drive from Knoxville to D.C. Yeah that's right EIGHT HOURS in a car. I don't normally handle long road trips well but it wasn't that bad.
Being in D.C was pretty awesome!
I LOVE the detail in this picture!

Ahhh the infamous White House.
Check out the shadow of the Washington Monument in this picture! Cool huh?

@ the United States Botanical Garden.

This night was FREEZING! Here we are touching the Washington Monument.

At the White House they had a giant Christmas Tree along with a giant Menorah (it's D.C they have top be politically correct) Around the Christams tree were fifty smaller trees. Can you guess why?
That's right! Each one represented one of the fifty states! Each tree was decorated with ornaments made by children from the Boys & Girls Club from each state.
Here is a picture of the tree representing my home state of NV. Pretty sad tree if you ask me!

The Iwo Jima Memorial is HUGE! The guys in the statute are 32 feet tall. I never knew it was that big!
