Jennifer Lee Hampton disappeared from a local hotel in Knoxville last friday night. I am a little freaked out by this because it has hit a little too close to home. They have said they have reason to believe that she has been a victim of foul play but that is all they have said. I wish I knew if there was some psycho path on the loose! It is just very scary to know that things like this happen everyday. People go missing all the time and sometimes it doesn't even make the news!
I would think stories like this would be priority but apparently that's not the case. I saw Dr Phil this week and they covered the Caylee Anthony story ( also SOOOO Sad) and they talked about how many children are missing and get little to no media coverage. It blows my mind that these are not top stories! I also get that there is other news that needs to be covered. Maybe they should have a missing persons TV network or something because these are stories we all need to be aware of. Something has got to give!

Customer is ALWAYS right
I HATE car trouble! I always feel like I am being taken advantage of! I recently had an experiance at a local car repair place and my car is in worse condition than when I started. That makes me so mad! Below is the complaint letter I just finished writing. Read on...
My experience at NTB was in Knoxville, TN at the West Town location. It all started with a routine oil change/tire rotation. After the "routine" work was completed my car did NOT drive smoothly. It vibrated ALOT, like it never had before.I called the NTB at West Town and they advised that I bring it back so they could take a look at it. At this visit (9/15/08), my husband was told that the struts would need to be replaced. We paid $753.00 to make this repair. The very next day I took my car back due to a noise coming from the left rear strut. It sounded as if something was very loose.I was told the bolt securing the strut was not the correct size and they would replace it correctly. One day later the same strut began to sound loose AGAIN! I took the car back for a THIRD time and was told they would order a new strut and replace the problem one. I took the car back and left it a few hours. I got about a block down the road and IT MADE THE SAME NOISE!!!
At this point I REFUSE to take my car to people who have proved they do not know what they are doing. I am completely dissatisfied with my experiance and I feel that taking my car back would only be doing more damage than good. I have been more than generous by taking my car back FOUR TIMES and giving them the oppurtunity to correct this problem. For all I know my car sat there for a few hours with nobody touching because I saw no improvement. I do NOT feel like my money was put to good use. I feel cheated and taken advantage of.
You can be certain that you have lost my business and I will be telling my friends and family about my experiance.
Andrea Lawson
I may not get a resolution for my problem from this company but at least I let them have it! And boy does it feel good!

Safari Park
Well a few weeks ago we drove up to nearby Morristown (1 hour drive) and went to a "safari park" that they have there. Well the only thing safari about it was the zebra's but it was still pretty cool. They gave us buckets of feed and we could feed the animals. It was a 4 mile long trail.
Ok so anyone who knows me knows how I was just OBSESSED with zebras. So it was pretty exciting that I got to feed and pet one!
I swear this goat looks like he is smiling!
My mother-in-law and I rode in the back of the truck. It was pretty cool cause the animals would come right up to us. Here is my mother-in-law feed an ostrich.

My new found secret
I just wanted to let everyone in on my new "secret." I bought these new boxed Macaroni Grill dinners and they are AMAZING! Everything that you need comes in the box and you just have to add the chicken and others things like butter or milk. It seriously tastes just like the restaurant. I first tried the chicken marsala and Brandon loved it! It even came with the white wine for cooking for the marsala sauce. I think there is a total of 4 different dinners. And the bestt part... each box is like $4.50. So it totally beats eating out at Macroni Grill. The only downside is you we can't draw on hte table like we can at the real Macaroni Grill. Oh Well!

Tennessee Sunset
This is the upside of living in Tennessee! It truly is beautiful here. I love the trees and the mountains. Aside from being SO FAR from my family, Tennessee isn't that bad! :)

90210- My new fave obsession!
I have been a big of the 90210 series for a LONG time! I just love drama, and 90210 fulfills all my drama needs. The new 90210 has been on for about 3 weeks now. I didn't think I would like the new version just because I am such a big fan of the originial I thought this version would just be disappointing. But boy was I wrong! I think it helps that there are some old characters that have been worked into the new version.
Kelly Taylor is the new school counselor at West Beverly. Kelly and David's little sister, Erin Silver, is currently a student at West Beverly. Brenda is back for a while visiting Kelly. And Kelly has a son and it was just revealed that Dylan is the father. Andrea Zuckerman's daughter Hannah, is also a student although she is not really in the show that much. Nat still owns the Peach Pit, although it is now a coffee house hang out.
I know I am going on and on but it is one of my favorite ALL TIME shows and I love that it is back!

Girls Day
I spent the afternoon with some ladies from my work for a girls day. We had lunch at the mall, did some shopping and then went and watched the new movie "The Women." I really liked the movie and it was so fitting to see it with a group of women. I think there were only 2 men in the whole theater.
I won't give too much away, but it is about a woman who has a close group of friends. Her husband is having an affiar and her friends come together to help her deal. It was really funny too. I recommend it for sure!

Shortage of Gas
I am not really sure what the whole story is but apparently there is a shortage of gas because of hurricane Ike. I few days ago I filled up my tank and paid $3.60 for regular which is a jump from a few weeks ago when I only paid $3.43. Well this morning I noticed the gas station where I usually get my red bull in the morning was REALLY busy. Apparently word got out about the shortage of gas and that prices of gas would go up. Well I just got back from lunch and the price of gas is $4.49! That is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS! I can't believe how much they can charge for gas nowadays. There is still one gas station around where I work that still has gas for $3.69 but probably not for long. And I get the feeling it's only going to get worse before it gets better. Someone told me that it might get up to $6.00! If it gets to that point I am not sure what will happen. I will start car pooling!
Wish me luck!

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND
Another year has come and gone and we are a year older! August 31st I celebrated my 24th birthday and September 1st Brandon turned 23! Its amazing how time flies! The first brithdays we celebrated togetherwere my 18th and his 17th! I can't believe he are now almost mid 20s! Ahhh!
so ever since I moved to Tennessee I have wanted to go to Dollywood, so we decided to go for our birthdays! For those of you who arn't familiar Dollwood is Dolly Parton's amusement park in Pigeon Forge, TN. I know it sounds totally hick and country, but that is the beauty of it! :D This is my "I am so excited to go to Dollywood" face. I know I am a dork but life would be pretty boring otherwise.
We spent practically all day riding roller coasters! Thunderhead is the One and ONLY wooden Coaster in the US! There are only two others in the world! It was so fun and I remember seeing this Coaster on the travel channel!
