Let it Snow!

Well it's been a rather cold week in Tennessee! On Wednesday morning we woke up to snow falling from the sky. The weather people had been saying it was going to snow but I tend not to believe them they have been predicting snow for a LONG time and what do you know they got it right this time.

Brandon loves the snow so he was excited to see it snow, even though he had to work in it ALL DAY! He still enjoyed every minute of it. To be honest it was kinda cool to see it snow. I only wish it wasn't so cold! Next time it snows I hope it is alot so we don't have to go to work... that would be a nice break!

Gosh I can't wait for Spring!

Down side of TN

Since I have been living in Tennessee I have developed some "unusual" pet peeves that I never imagined I would have...

1. I would like to drive down a road and NOT smell a skunk. It is not unusual to smell those smelly creatures. Now until I lived here I did not know what a skunk smelled like and I am sorry to say that I am VERY familiar with the smell. All I can is I better not run into one. We have even smelled them in our yard.

2. ROADKILL! I think I saw two pieces of roadkill this morning just on the way to work. I see things like racoons, rabbits, squirrels, etc. Now these are all normally very cute critters but they lose their appeal when there are blood and guts splattered across the road. A skunk smells pretty bad but a dead skunk is a MILLION times worse!

3. Which brings me to my next point...I am really scared to run something over. I don't want to be the cause of a poor animals death. I would just feel horrible.

4. Last but not least is the weather. It is just so unpredictable and I hate having to get up in the morning and turn on the weather just to see if it is safe to drive. Cause guess what... if its really bad weather you can pretty much forget about going anywhere.

Ahhhh... I feel so much better! Thanks for listening to me vent!

Workout!

I have been trying really hard to stick to the whole workout regimine. And I have to be honest... I did fall off the wagon for about a week but I am back on and I am on my way! This is me after a work out! Exhausted!

This is why it is called a cat nap!

So I am not really cat person but i totally thought this was a cute a picture. My mother-in-law has 3 cats and they are strictly indoor cats. When we are gone for work we always leave the shades open and they love to lay in the sun. This is Vegas...the baby of the bunch. Just in case you are wondering she named him Vegas because she recued him form a shelter when she was in Las Vegas.
Anyways, its moments like this that make me warm up to them a little more.

Superbowl!

Ok so I know I am not a football fan but the superbowl is the only game I will actually watch all year. I have to say that it was a pretty intense scene at this house! And what an outcome! Who would have thought that the underdog would win. I love it when that happens!
Brandon and his Dad were VERY into the game. They were hooting and hollering and I think that is what makes it so exciting. Anyway, if anyone saw it I think you would have to agree that the last few minutes were quite intense. I had to look away at some parts because I was a little nervous! Also I just want to comment on winning and losing... As cool as it was for the NY Giants to win I still felt kinda bad for the patriots. I mean why does one team have to feel like crap for the other team to feel like winners. I know I am weird!
I think we might put some money on the game next year because Brandon pretty much guessed the outcome of this game ( he was only 4 points off) so maybe next year we can win some money!

The Dreaded Flu!

Bad News... Brandon has the flu! I guess the flu has been going alot around here. I heard on the news that a few schools have shut down because so many kids have it. I don't know but that sounds pretty bad to me. He started feeling sick on Monday and it just got worse after that. I admit I felt kinda bad for him. Yesterday he woke up and he had a fever and chills. The works! So we went to the doctor and he told us it was definetly the flu. So now he is at home and taking tamiflu. I hope he gets better soon and I hope I don't catch it!
